Jingle for my rejected romantics <3
Bath Bomb Babe

Fizzy bath bomb you say?
How about a psychedelic, chromatic, half-in-a suit-bomb-babe?
Crash-landed from deep within the reaches of a fuchsia outer space.
You say you want some me time?
How about some plunge under the water
daughter of a mother, I can barely see time?
Deep beneath the sea, I can barely breathe time.

Dame un momento, wait.
A moment, a memory, a state
of mind I haven’t felt in a while
The stars are aligning
my heartbeat is climbing
this feels somehow defining
can’t wait to see how I emerge, time.

Rub a dub dub there’s a gavel in your tub.
Reversing the tides, judgement is mine, I define if I’m enough.
Head to the beaches, where they can’t reach us
leaving the shore, there’s sure to be more to me,
I’m calling your bluff.

A dizzying truth bomb parlay,
I gambled in the oceanic, North Atlantic, deep blue today.
Told them to hit me, exposed what was in me, black-jacked ‘em as their spears were swallowed by her watery grave.
She smiled and beseeched me to stay, to play.

I walked the ocean floor,
crawling through the trenches,
found the invincible summer,
felt my gut wrench as my chest tore asunder,
filling with lightning as she took me under, under.
A silence like never before.
Is this the place before we were born?

I sink a while, and after a while or more,
she whispers, it’s time to return to your planet.

Running out of oxygen, can’t
tell what space I’m in
at the edges of the galaxy or deep within her majesty.
I rise to the surface from my knelt position,
in awe, grateful for the abolition of my previous condition, a new cognition,
across the asteroid belt, with electricity in my veins,
a pitch white fire, star spirit ablaze,
I wasn’t ready but stand amazed
at the face staring back at me.

Once just a shimmer of,
only a faint glimmer of
hope of escaping this haze.
Now her eyes with conviction, story being written,
into the lens of the camera,
a steady gaze.

A Poem in Three Parts.
